I know, rules are not all that fun, but we have to have them in order to keep things from getting out of hand. Running an event like this can be pretty hectic let alone having no guidelines for those to follow. With out further ado, here are the rules of this event.


:thumb269322479: Gallery must be recent before you are accepted. This is to make sure that no one is going to simply skip out on the event. You have to have at least something submitted with in the last month when you put in your note to join.
:thumb269322479: Couple requests only during all events. This is definitely the most challenging part of all the events. Each event will always deal with couples. It does not necessarily have to be romantic couples either. They can be family, friends, lovers, rivals, etc... as long as there are two characters being requested no matter the relationship. OCs and fandoms are both welcome.
:thumb269322479: No sexual requests. Keep it G/PG-13 please. Just to keep everyone on the safe side and adhering to DeviantART's submission guideline. It is much easier to just not go in to sexual requests as sometime there are some who are not comfortable at drawing it. Sorry for any inconvenience this rule may cause.
:thumb269322479: Same gender couples are okay. Before sign-up make sure you are okay drawing same gender couples. There is no love discrimination here folks. Love is love and if you are not comfortable with such things then please do not sign up for the event as there is no guarantee you will not get a request to draw such.
:thumb269322479: Fully colored and shaded pieces. At least waist-up characters and backgrounds. No laziness in this event. You have to give it your all! Flat color or blank backgrounds will not fly. No chibis or busts either, try to give more to the piece in a whole. This is to keep things fair and to make sure everyone is getting what they are giving.
:thumb269322479: References or detailed descriptions in your wish a must. To make sure that your characters are how you are wanting them to look. Even if they are not OCs please provide image links to some sort of reference to what they look like. It helps cut down reference hunting time for your Secret Artist and gives them more drawing time.
:thumb269322479: Wish list link must be sent via note to Seasonal-Nymph. The founder and co-founder are the same person. The nymphs were created so the founder could help cut down the notes received already. Makes life easier. Any notes sent to the founder or the group itself will not be considered valid. You may post your wish list in a journal, stash, or even on another site, so long as you send the link to it in your note.
:thumb269322479: Keep your assignment secret until the posting date. It would ruin the surprise if you knew who your Secret Artist was right off the bat! Not only that but it helps cut out the whole haggling for gifts thing as well. Keep it secret, keep it safe!
:thumb269322479:Please make sure to get your gifts done on time. This rule can not be stressed enough. Though if you need an extension please do not hesitate to ask via note to Seasonal-Nymph. The requirements to send in for an extension is at least a week before the deadline. If you do not send it during that time then an extension will not be granted.
:thumb269322479: Backups get minimum 2 weeks to complete missing gifts. Hoping it will not come to this, but in case of such things there will be Backup Secret Artists that anyone is welcome to sign up for. You will have an additional 2 weeks to complete your assignment that is for someone who did not receive their gift.
:thumb269322479: Group membership is not a requirement. Though watching is definitely encouraged for updates and the like. You do not have to be a member of the group to join the event or submit your gifts.
:thumb269322479: You are responsible for notifying your assigned recipient. Which can be done via comment, mention in description or note to the person you are gifting to. The founder/co-founder will not be responsible for notifications on this one. The gifting loses its pizazz that way.
:thumb269322479: Commitment is key! Will black list those who disappear. No joking on this one. If you feel you can not see the event to the very end please do not wait to the last minute to let me know. I do understand when emergencies happen, but remember there are extensions and if you absolutely can not finish your end of the gift please let me know via note.
